TENSO, A Global Leader In Building Robotics And Automation Systems…. Specifically For Plastic Industry.
Drawing on decades of steadily accumulated expertise, TENSO has earned the trust of leading industrial groups in domestic and international markets by meeting their manufacturing needs. Over the past 40 years, the company has strengthened its capabilities to become a key competitor alongside global leaders in robotics and automation. This achievement reflects its unwavering commitment to quality, employee development, and research into innovative technological solutions.

Mr. Ivan Chen, Marketing Department Manager at TENSO Machinery Ind. Co., Ltd., gave his account that the company specialized in robotic automation systems for plastic injection molding machines. Established in 1985, it means that TENSO is now celebrating its 41st year of operations. Currently, the company has focused on the plastic injection molding sector, offering a diverse product range that spans from high-speed servo robots to large-scale robotic systems. Its product lineup is designed to accommodate injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 50 tons to 5,000 tons, providing a comprehensive solutions that perfectly meets the industrial requirements.
Notably, the company offers extra-large robotic systems capable of supporting massive injection molding machines. The model designed for 5,000-ton machines is a key highlight of the company’s portfolio; for customers transitioning to automation, selecting a suitable and highly stable robotic system is crucial to ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The company’s primary customers belong to the automotive parts industry (automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles), as well as the medical equipment and hardware sectors.
The company utilizes advanced engineering and transmission mechanisms to ensure high system availability and efficiency in line with its strategic goals. Its diverse client base spans sectors such as automotive parts, home appliances, electronic components, and medical equipment. Regarding technology and development, the company prioritizes high speed and cost-effectiveness—particularly energy efficiency, a factor highly valued by customers in robotic operations. Consequently, reliability, safety, and economic value are the core objectives of the company’s product development.

For TaipeiPLAS 2026, the company is showcasing two robot models. The first one is a medium-sized robotic system designed for injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 350 to 1,300 tons and the second one, a robotic system for “Ultra-Large Size” injection molding machines, supporting capacities from 1,300 to 5,000 tons. A robotic system for small-scale (50-ton) injection molding machines is also being featured. The booth’s showcase demonstrates a comprehensive range—from the smallest to the largest scales—with robotic systems supporting injection molding machines from 50 to 5,000 tons; compared to other manufacturers, the company offers a selection of 13 models in this category. As for the newly developed and designed robotic systems, we place an emphasis on high speed and energy efficiency—specifically regarding electricity and compressed air consumption, which are
critical factors in automation systems. Therefore, the company’s development goals have centered on upgrading the “TS” or transmission system and enhancing overall efficiency and energy savings across both electrical and pneumatic systems. Furthermore, the company boasts a substantial customer base in Thailand and maintains partnerships with local distributors spanning over two decades. These distributors provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales services, backed by business relationships lasting 20 to 30 years.
Supported by a robust operational team, the company is committed to assisting customers through the design of efficient End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), factory layout planning, and the selection of appropriate robots to ensure successful implementation of systems that meet specific operational needs. This is why TENSO is dedicated to actively and continuously supporting automation within Thailand’s plastic injection molding industry.
“If we were to summarize the key strengths of TENSO robots in a single phrase, we are happy to say that our goal and image of our brand would be the “Safety and Reliability.” Furthermore, we prioritize the safety and smooth robot operation “while striving to convey a brand image defined by ease of understanding and user-friendliness.”
