Krones Revealed Shopfloor Guidance Technology that Helped Increase Production Efficiency and Responded to Customers’ Needs at the Maximum Level

At the recent ProPak Asia 2024, we had an opportunity to interview Mr. Thanaruch Kuntakunarkorn, LCS Sales Manager, Krones (Thailand) Co., Ltd., who presented a product in the Krones Digitalization Group Technology called Shopfloor Guidance that helps reduce the complexity of organizing, prioritizing, managing and documenting all pending jobs. A change in the machine status is obviously visible from the beginning. The system will detect and alert about downtime due to raw material and consumable shortages e.g. no labels or warnings due to dropped bottles. Important machine data is used efficiently throughout the process whereby Shopfloor Guidance will help in grouping and prioritizing all necessary things automatically, help in managing, structural layout and completing tasks and notifying customers immediately by connecting to smart phone or smart watch. But, if the first person cannot provide any support at that time, the machine will send a signal to the next person to solve the problem quickly to help in troubleshooting to avoid the machine downtime. The notably outstanding feature of Shopfloor Guidance is that it can reduce downtime, shorten customer problem solving, and improve the activities and productivities for customers.

Whereon the aspect of e-business, Krones has still continued to develop Krones Shop. This channel is available 24 hours a day. Not only the spare parts information is available but also a data bank and the Machine Operating Instruction Manual. Krones will always upload new functions to the platform in order to respond to the customers’ needs to achieve the maximum result.
