TIPCO and SIG collaborate to introduce Thailand’s first-ever plant-based milk alternative in carton packs with forest based polymers

Thailand’s leading fruit & vegetable juice manufacturer TIPCO has revamped their “Nature Up” brand in SIG carton packs with SIG Terra Forest-based polymers packaging material. The “Nature Up” oat milk is the first plant-based milk alternative in Thailand to be offered in sustainable carton packs, where even the small amount of polymers is 100% linked to forest-based materials Aseptic carton packs with polymers linked to forest-based renewable materials will help to strengthen TIPCO’s ongoing sustainability pledge.

SIG Terra Forest-based polymers packaging material champions the utilization of renewable raw materials, thus conserving fossil resources and significantly reducing environmental impacts. All three raw materials in carton packs used by TIPCO are linked to certified responsible sources via mass-balance systems: paperboard is from FSC™-certified forests and other controlled sources; forest-based renewable polymers certified according to ISCC PLUS; and the ultra-thin layer of aluminum which protects against light and oxygen is certified to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) standards. .
Moreover, the carbon footprint of the SIG Terra Forest-based polymers packaging material is up to 45% lower than that of a standard SIG carton packaging material. SIG Terra Forest-based polymers is the perfect fit for all types of liquid food and beverages.
