Mr. Aram Tongurai, Managing Director of ENGEL Machinery (Thailand) Ltd. revealed that, ENGEL has 3 sales offices in South East Asia region which are Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. In Thailand, ENGEL has been in to make the market for more than 20 years by making distributions through the distributors. In 2012, ENGEL made a registration for the establishment of its main branch office in Thailand under the name of ENGEL Machinery (Thailand) Ltd. currently in business for 10 years. Over in the past year, ENGEL built a new office on Pattanakarn Road, Soi 53. This new office will be the sales office, showroom and technical center to be a center for sales and service works in Southeast Asia region. Because ENGEL Headquarters in Austria foresees the growth of the plastic injection molding industry in Southeast Asia region and sees that Thailand has a potential, the investment is therefore made to build this center.
For this center, ENGEL brought in 3 machines of the latest plastic injection molding technology for exhibitions where customers or interested parties can bring in their molds or plastic pellets for testing with these new machines. In addition, there is also a training room in the center for customers to try out new functions of the machine that can be used in the actual production process because we see that such technical center will help users of ENGEL machines in Thailand to get to know and understand the operations of machines and to increase the working productivity and make use of the machine in full form with efficiency.

In Thailand, ENGEL’s injection molding machine mainly consists of two systems which are: hydraulic servo drive system and all-electric drive system with the clamping force capacity ranging from 28 tons to 3,200 tons. ENGEL also has a variety of injection technologies to meet the needs of customers. The most remarkably outstanding technology being popularly used by the plastic injection molders in Thailand is the victory TIE-BAR-LESS, which ENGEL is the only brand of the injection molding machine that does not have TIE-BAR on all 4 columns, thus, the customers can use a mold of bigger size for forming up on the TIE-BAR-LESS of the machine which will help the customers to be able to do the bigger mold forming process on the machine of a smaller size compared to the other tie bar machines, in general, and it also helps save the space and electricity. Another ENGEL’s technology is a duo, Two platens injection molding machine which is suitable for the automotive plastic injection molding industry where the TIE-BAR won’t touch the moving plate, thus, enabling the mold to close and open very quickly. Smart Machine: ENGEL’s software so called iQ Product of the injection molding machine has been developed into the machine which is equipped with a variety of features: for example; the iQ clamp control function which is a function system that enables the machine to find the clamping force of such particular mold automatically with the intelligence of the machine. This solution allows the machine to work longer, use the proper clamping force and save energy, as well. In addition, iQ weight control is a function that adjusts the parameters of the same volume of melting materials into the mold each time. Moreover, ENGEL has many other functions with different functionalities: such as; iQ motion control, iQ process observer, iQ vibration control, iQ flow control, iQ melt control, etc.
Smart Service: ENGEL has service teams both in Thailand and at its parent company in Austria available to provide 24-hour online assistant services, especially, the e-connect.24 system which is a remote control system via internet from computer screen of our service engineers to screen of machine controller at customers in order to verify problems details and solve them at initial steps via remotely.
