TrinaSolar, a Leader in Solar and Energy Storage Technology, Is Going Forward on the Future of Clean Energy.
With over 27 years of clean energy experience, TrinaSolar continues to strengthen its position as a leader in solar PV and related innovations. Founded in 1997, Trina Solar made history by having been listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2006, becoming one of the first companies in the world to produce large-scale commercial solar panels. And just a few years later, TrinaSolar became the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer in 2014.
Today, Trina Solar has expanded beyond solar panels to include Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Tracking Systems, systems that track solar panels’ rotation to the sun.
Technological Strength: Highly Efficient Solar Panels.
At its latest technology exhibition, TrinaSolar offered two key highlights: new solar panels and energy storage solutions for solar panels. The company’s strengths lie in quality and innovation leadership such as being the first manufacturer to launch a 700-watt panel and most recently, the Ultra series of solar panels, which boast a 24% energy efficiency, up from 23% on the mainstream model. This allows for increased power generation within the same installation area, reducing costs and maximizing value for users.
TrinaSolar also has a long-term plan. Its large research center in China will be a key driver in developing new technologies, including panels with a capacity of nearly 800 megawatts and changes to manufacturing materials, reflecting its commitment to maintaining its leadership in the global market.
Energy Storage: Sustainable Energy Storage.
Trinasolar began its energy storage business around 2015. Initially, Southeast Asia was not a key market due to its relatively affordable electricity prices. However, with the price of batteries falling, their efficiency and lifespan have increased, the market in Southeast Asia has begun to grow significantly, particularly, in the residential and industrial sectors.
TrinaSolar’s key strength lies in its in-house production of battery cells, from upstream to downstream, specifically, for energy storage solutions. This allows for complete control over quality, technology and the supply chain, ensuring inventory availability and long-term customer support.
Complete Service.
TrinaSolar provides services to customers through both project sales and partnerships. We are trained in both pre-sales and after-sales services to provide professional customer care. Our energy storage system expertise is particularly strong, with teams in each country ready to install and provide comprehensive support.
Market Trends and the Future.
Currently, the industrial solar PV market has stagnated as it has become a widely available product. However, the integration of solar panels and energy storage systems is gaining momentum, particularly, in Thailand, where peak electricity prices last until 10 p.m. Energy storage systems allow users, especially, in the industrial sector, to utilize solar power for longer and more continuous periods, resulting in significant savings on electricity costs.
Continuous Development Leader.
From its inception point in 2005, TrinaSolar has stood firm on its strengths of quality, innovation and technological leadership no matter what it’s about the highly efficient solar panels, custom-designed energy storage systems, or the expansion into new businesses like hydrogen, Trina Solar remains committed to being a key driver in the development of clean energy for a sustainable future.
