Transforming Thai Industry: SiS Distribution (Thailand) Announces Strategic Partnership with Markforged to Lead in Advanced Manufacturing

SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading IT product distributors, has announced a strategic partnership with the U.S.-based Markforged, a global leader in industrial 3D printing technology. This collaboration marks SiS’s entry into the advanced manufacturing sector, aiming to distribute Markforged’s cutting-edge 3D printing equipment and materials throughout Thailand.

Mr. Somchai Sittichaisrichart, Managing Director of SiS, emphasized that this move aligns with the company’s vision to pioneer the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance efficiency and productivity in Thailand’s business landscape.

Mr. Somchai said the market for additive manufacturing in Thailand would exceed USD 400 million in 2025, and was forecast to more than double by 2030. “The automotive industry in Thailand is the largest in Southeast Asia and the tenth largest in the world, with an annual output of more than two million vehicles. Leading manufacturers like Toyota and BMW are embracing additive manufacturing worldwide, including here in Thailand,”

“The electronics industry is another key target for us, with its demand for increasingly-complex designs that are difficult and expensive to produce using conventional manufacturing methods.

SiS has already taken delivery of a range of leading- edge Markforged metal and composite 3D printers including the FX20, FX10 with Sinter-2, X7, and Mark Two systems, bundled with a three-year Digital Forge Complete package. Markforged’s technology, known for its use of metal, composite, and continuous carbon fiber materials, aligns with SiS’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to the Thai market.

Mr. Suraj Sethi, Sales Director for South APAC at Markforged, who facilitated the agreement with SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “Thailand’s robust manufacturing sector is primed for growth, and there’s a clear readiness to embrace new technologies to unlock its full potential. Partnering with a respected and established company like SiS Distribution (Thailand) allows us to effectively introduce our advanced 3D printing solutions to the Thai market,” said Mr. Sethi.
