Robot Industrially-driven Platform …Increasing Entrepreneurs’ Potentials

Industrial Transformation Platform (ITP),a new step in robot technology and integrated automation that link entrepreneurs, banks and System Integrator (SI) through platform in providing One- Stop Service.

Respective to the progress on the investments under the robotics and automation industries, the Office of Industrial Economics or OIE, as the responsible agency, launched the “Industrial Transformation Platform (ITP)” by collaborating with alliances such as Robotics AI and Intelligent Solutions, PTT Public Company Limited and Center of Robotic Excellence (CoRE) to create a new system for robotic industry and automation system by linking the operations of all relevant agencies for complete integration, especially, the improvement of working process from the original practice that each unit had worked separately for transition into a collaborative work on the Cyber Platform, which will help facilitate business operations and solve the problematic processes of entrepreneurs rapidly.

It is considered a startup point in linking the entrepreneurs, banks and SI through platform for One-Stop Service, beginning from the application for investment promotion from the government, the application for a loan for the purchase of machinery from banks, to business matching with SI having potential to evaluate the investment worthinessderived from the improvements to achieve the efficiency.
The production byrobot or related technology by linking it with I-industry database and Single Form of the Ministry of Industrywill help facilitate the request for approval /permission of the Ministry of Industry in receiving services from the Industrial Transformation Center (ITC) of the Department of Industrial Promotion including the application for investment promotion from BOI, where entry into the technology support program can be applied from the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA). In addition, there are various commercial banks participating in making offerings on credit programs such as SME Bank, Kasikornbank, Krung Thai Bank Public Co., Ltd., and the Export-Import Bank of Thailand, etc.

In 2019, OIE aims to expand the use of more robots and automation system to SMEs in various industries throughout the country such as in the agricultural industry by fully hoping them to be the tools for farmers and community enterprises in the implementations of Smart Farming. In this connection, Thai-German Institute has begun to pilot the program in the lower Northeastern Provinces (namely: UbolRatchathani, Si Sa Ket, Yasothon and Amnad Charoen) to support the creation of added value to agricultural products, e. g. support for Smart Module such as sensor system for measuring parameter to be the data for evaluating production factors worthily which will help reduce the production costs for farmers in the long term including focally aiming at raising the production efficiency and resolving labor shortage problem in many labor-intensive industries such as food processing industries and the textile and garment industry etc.

Robots and Automation System … the Progress Occurring in Thai Industry Nowadays

Dr. PichairatChimamanda, Director of Roboticis AI and Intelligent Solutions Program, PTT Public Co., Ltd., revealed that, this collaboration is a focus on the importance of the development of mechanisms and the creation of environment by using robotics technology science including digital technology in the integration and support in driving Industrial Transformation to the Industry 4.0 of Thailand. This mechanism provides a One-Stop Service model and facilitates all sectors through variously related organization connections such as SI, banks for financing, Office of BOI, Department of Industrial Promotion,OIE and CORE in Thailand, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Djitt Laowattana, Special Expert, Office of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Policy Board revealed the progress of the robotics and automation industry development plan, an intermediate term goal of 5 years scheme (within2021) that “We have the aim to raise the level of complicated technology with higher value by investing 200 billion Baht and deploying robots in the factories at more than 50% /on a long term of 10 years (within 2026) because Thailand is considered the ASEAN leading country inthe productions wherein a lot of robots and automation system are required for used.
