OTOP Banana Chip Processing Machine Development for Easy to Use…and Helping Reduce Production Costs

 

 

 

 

“Banana” is an agricultural product of economic value which will yield the productivity when its average age is 1 year. In addition to fresh consumptions, it is also popular to be processed into savory-sweet food products that create added value and generate incomes for farmers and entrepreneurs.

 

 

 

Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESRI), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) by Expert Center of Innovative Health Food (ECIHF) are successful in conducting the research and development of “OTOP Banana Chip Processing Machine” consequently as a result of carrying out the Big Rock Project operations to help strengthen entrepreneurs, community enterprise, with science, technology and innovation from skills of Thai researchers. It is a suitable technology, easy to use and helps reduce production costs as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) Being a Ready-to-Fry Banana Slicer of a drop-flow type that helps prevent banana pieces from sticking together during frying, that can work continuously, slide a banana fruit into 3 shapes longitudinally, cross-sectionally and diagonally. Blade set can be easily removed for cleaning and the level of thickness – thin of banana pieces can be adjusted from 1 to 5 millimeter while the production rate is 50 kilograms per hour.

 

 

 

2) Being a Double Tank Oil Extractor for oil extraction after frying where its system is operational independently and tank structure can be removed for cleaning with wheels for moving. It takes 1 minute for the centrifuge to shake off the oil with the production rate at 10 kilograms each time.

 

 

 

3) Being a Seasoning Powder Mixing Machine for mixing powdered seasoning ingredients after frying with its hopper that can be tilted to pour raw materials for convenient use. It takes 1 minute for working with the production rate of 10 kilograms each time.
