KRAIBURG TPE, the global competence thermoplastic elastomer (TPEs) manufacturer has launched its new THERMOLAST® H product line. Designed exclusively for the Asia Pacific healthcare and medical device markets, the THERMOLAST® H compound series is a high-quality material solution complying with ISO 10993-5, GB/T 16886.5. The series also meets global food regulatory standards such as China GuoBiao (GB) GB4806, FDA-Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 21, and EU10/2011, and complies with RoHS and REACH standards and is sterilizable at autoclave 121°C and EtO.

 

 

 

THERMOLAST® H Material Advantages, Applications and More

 

 

 

The HC/AP series is available in hardness range of 30 to 90 Shore A. It is free from PVC, latex, silicone, and animal ingredients. The series’ excellent properties, including adhesion to PP, haptics, and compression set, make it suitable for applications such as closures, flexible connections, mouthpieces, seals, gaskets, and more. The series is also ideal for applications requiring soft-touch quality, such as grips, switches, and mats.

 

 

 

The HC/RS/AP resealing series is the latest under the THERMOLAST® H family. Its resealing performance is tested according to the DIN ISO 15759. What’s more, the series has a low density and good adhesion to PE and PP, making it ideal for use on resealing caps for sample and test tubes, medical vial closures, and membranes in disposable insulin syringes.

 

 

 

The HC/AD1/AP polar adhesion series is the upcoming THERMOLAST® H series. Through multi-component injection molding and extrusion, the series exhibit good bonding with PC and ABS, allowing for flexibility in product designs. It is ideal for applications such as seals, valves, flexible connectors, handles, and grips.
