Introduced at drinktec 2025, Ingeniq is Krones’ answer to the growing demand for efficiency and automation. The system combines ingenuity and intelligence to deliver a highly automated PET filling solution for still water. Krones calls Ingeniq “the line of the future,” as it merges low total cost of ownership with consistently high performance.

Core Components

The Ingeniq system consists of three main elements:

1. The line itself is designed with a modular structure and integrates robotics and artificial intelligence to simplify operations while sharing lifecycle responsibility with the customer.

2. Connect & Secure provides digital access to production data around the clock and enables existing systems to join Krones’ connected digital environment.

3. Lifecycle Alliance establishes a partnership model that ensures the intended efficiency level is achieved. It includes modular service agreements, personal consultations, and a joint commitment to plant performance.

Automation & Performance

Ingeniq’s digital automation architecture links individual machines into an efficient network. The Prefero injection moulder saves up to 20% energy, while the ErgoBloc L achieves outputs of up to 100,000 containers per hour with a footprint 70% smaller than conventional lines. Automated workflows handle tasks such as splicing label reels without manual intervention, and the Variopac Pro packer adapts flexibly to different packaging formats.

Sustainability

All Ingeniq machines feature the enviro package, which provides energy and media analytics for transparency and resource efficiency.

Future Outlook

Currently, Ingeniq is designed for filling still water in PET containers. However, this is only the beginning: additional container types and product categories are already in development, including solutions for PET carbonated soft drinks. In the short term, Krones plans to install ten more lines, while the long-term goal is to supply more than half of all Krones lines as Ingeniq lines. This strategy reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and innovation.
