The Khonkaen Chamber of Commerce and KICE Convention Center jointly force Thailand to be the No.1 of food hub in Mekong River or GMS countries by co-organizing BEYOND FOOD EXPO in respondents to the government policy
BEYOND FOOD EXPO is the first edition of food trade show in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) showcasing the innovative gastronomy and innovation of food products and food processing from upstream to downstream [Complete Food Supply Chains thru Greater Mekong Sub-region in one show] during 15–17 December 2022 at KICE Convention Center, Khonkaen province. Expectedly more than 8,500 participants with 500 million baht of value trade.
Mr. Charoen Kaowsuksai, Chairman of FTI Food Processing Industry Club and Chair of the program, will witness the MoU signing ceremony between Khonkaen Chamber of Commerce and Khonkaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE) to jointly organize Beyond Food Expo 2022. The Greater Mekong Food Trade show (GMS countries are Thailand, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and China-PRC) will showcase innovative food, packaging, cold chains & logistic, food services and food standards as a one–stop service to elevate the potential and enhance the high-priority regional economy to the international market by business partnering program called the “Hosted Buyer Program”
Chairman of FTI’s Food Processing Industry Club, Mr. Charoen Kaosuksai said that Thai food industry is on leading top 5 of agricultural food exporter of the world in cassava, sugar cane, chicken and rice. So in this global food crisis we are facing a big challenge but great opportunity to create the new formula of fertilizer to step forward continuously on top ranking of food exporter as Kitchen of the world.
Mr. Channarong Buristrakul, President of The Khonkaen Chamber of Commerce indicated that the strength of Thai food is its unique taste and diversity according to the local cultures. This is clearly seen in the local foods of Thailand’s E–sarn region where the food has individuality and invites the younger generation to taste and enjoy. For instance, Chef Paisal Chewinsiriwat who creates an authentic local food menu to be a Fusion and Fine Dining food by adding the E–sarn flavor giving a new taste to customers. As same as with Chef Natthaporn Komjit who creates E-Sarn gastronomy that persuading and giving a new taste of exotic food to others people in other region excellently and creatively.
Mr. Wishjanond Vichaiyuth Director of Khonkaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE) said that #BeyondFoodExpo will be held for the first time on 15-17 December 2022 at the KICE Convention Center which is the largest international convention in Thailand’s Northeast Region located in Khonkaen province. This show will be conceptually organized by using of “Food, Feature to Fight” which will offer the diversity of flavors in FOOD and drive the FEATUREs of regional food business that highly potential to stand up front to the international level in order to FIGHT with the challenging economic crisis.

As KICE is the largest International Convention Center in the Northeastern of Thailand located at KhonKaen province. Expecting that there will be more than 8,500 visitors and create up to 500 million Thai Baht potentially.
