Vitafoods Asia 2026 to Accelerate Thailand’s Nutraceutical Industry Through Research, Innovation and Global Partnerships

Informa Markets will host Vitafoods Asia 2026 under the theme “Nutraceuticals Trends Across Generations,” reinforcing the event’s position as Asia’s leading platform for nutraceuticals, functional ingredients and health product innovation. Taking place Sept. 2–4, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), the exhibition will bring together more than 600 exhibitors from over 40 countries, connecting the entire nutraceutical value chain while showcasing the latest research, ingredient technologies and business opportunities shaping the future of preventive healthcare.
According to Grand View Research and Fortune Business Insights, the global nutraceutical and dietary supplements market is projected to exceed US$1.1 trillion by 2033 – 2034, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.7 – 10.58%. Asia-Pacific remains the industry’s primary growth engine, accounting for nearly 40% of the global market, driven by growing consumer interest in preventive healthcare and the region’s rapidly aging population.
Thailand is emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing nutraceutical markets, with an estimated CAGR of 9.5% and market value expected to reach US$12.9 billion by 2033. Strong government support for herbal innovation, internationally certified OEM and ODM manufacturing capabilities, and an established export ecosystem have positioned the country as a strategic production and sourcing hub for the region.
“Consumer expectations are evolving across every generation, creating demand for more targeted and science-backed health solutions,” said Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN at Informa Markets. “Younger consumers are driving growth in products supporting gut health, mental wellness and convenient formats such as gummies, while older consumers continue to fuel demand for healthy aging, joint health, cognitive support and chronic disease prevention. These trends are accelerating innovation in personalized nutrition and functional ingredients.”
She added that Vitafoods Asia 2026 serves as a regional business platform connecting ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, OEM and ODM companies, researchers, retailers, healthcare professionals and government agencies to accelerate innovation and strengthen Thailand’s competitiveness in the global nutraceutical industry.
Professor Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Board Member of the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) and Executive Board Member of the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), said Thailand is advancing policies that transform locally sourced raw materials into high-value health products through research and technology. Scientific validation is essential for Thai botanical extracts to compete globally. Advanced technologies, particularly nanotechnology, can improve efficacy, stability and safety, while internationally recognized laboratories and research collaboration help raise product standards and commercial potential.
Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA), said the agency has shifted from being solely a regulator to becoming an enabler of Thailand’s health economy. It has modernized regulatory processes to support innovation while maintaining rigorous safety standards. More efficient registration pathways for Thai botanical extracts, together with early-stage regulatory guidance, will help businesses bring innovative products to market faster while strengthening international confidence in Thai health products.
Mr. Nakah Thawichawatt, Chairman of the Health, Wellness and Beauty Industry Cluster and Chairman of the Dietary Supplement Industry Group at the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said closer collaboration among government, research institutions and industry will strengthen Thailand’s position in the global market. Combining scientific research, regulatory support and commercial manufacturing creates a complete innovation ecosystem. The private sector is ready to transform research into globally competitive products, while streamlined regulations will reduce time-to-market and reinforce Thailand’s ambition to become a regional health economy hub.
This year’s exhibition will introduce several new initiatives designed to expand business opportunities across the industry.
- The Australia Pavilion will showcase premium Australian ingredients and create new opportunities for international sourcing and business partnerships.
- The Pet Nutraceutical Showcase will debut as a dedicated zone featuring innovations in pet supplements, functional ingredients and health solutions, reflecting the rapid growth of the global pet wellness market.
- The Thailand Health Product Awards will recognize outstanding innovation in finished dietary supplements and highlight the successful commercialization of Thai research and locally sourced botanical ingredients.
Beyond product discovery, Vitafoods Asia 2026 will provide entrepreneurs and emerging brand owners with direct access to internationally certified OEM and ODM manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, packaging specialists and regulatory experts, offering a comprehensive platform to develop, manufacture and commercialize new health products.
Occupying more than 15,000 square meters of exhibition space, Vitafoods Asia 2026 is expected to welcome more than 16,000 visitors from across the global nutraceutical, food, beverage, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The event will take place September 2–4, 2026, in Halls 1–3 and 5–7 of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, bringing together industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to advance the future of health and nutrition across Asia
