SolarEdge is a smart energy solutions developer with operational bases located in many countries around the world, focusing on combining engineering expertise with continuous innovation to offer technologies that enhance energy management in Photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters and energy management devices for industrial and commercial applications. At ASIA Sustainable Energy Week 2025, SolarEdge showcased new products in its integrated solar energy portfolio, including the PowerOptimizer S1500 and CSS-OD, a battery solutions designed for small and medium-sized factories.
Mr. Weeruj Techasuwanna, Country Manager of SolarEdge Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., revealed that SolarEdge, an Israeli-based manufacturer of inverters and power optimizers, was highly recognized by customers worldwide, particularly, in the US, where it gained a significant market acceptance. SolarEdge entered the Thai market in 2015 through a distributor and subsequently established SolarEdge Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The company has been operating in Thailand for 10 years and has experienced significant growth, especially, our product called Power Optimizer, which was considered the first of its kind in Thailand to educate customers about why solar panel installation requires a Power Optimizer. Therefore, customers will know us in this aspect primarily because the Power Optimizer will help increase the efficiency of the solar panels.
SolarEdge’s key feature, as you know, is of course, the Power Optimizer. This year, we launched the Power Optimizer S1500, an upgrade from the S1400. The S1500 is the largest model on the market that can efficiently connect and support the solar panels. What sets SolarEdge apart from other Power Optimizers is its industry-leading 25-year warranty, supporting up to 30.4 kW of line-connected power. Paired with a 100-kW inverter which provides warranty up to 12 years, the warranty can be extended to a maximum of 20 years. Another product we are launching is the commercial-grade SolarEdge CSS-OD battery. Hundreds of units have been sold worldwide and are currently being installed in several countries. This solutions provides 102.4 kWh of power and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It comes with a factory-assembled battery and inverter cabinet that seamlessly connects to the SolarEdge PV system. We also offer a 10-year warranty on all components.
“SolarEdge has not just sold the products, but the system will be added, as well, particularly, the Cyber Security, which is a crucial matter of security, as other countries have widely placed the emphasis on it while Thailand hasn’t yet implemented this approach. Nevertheless, SolarEdge will import it to enhance efficiency and build customer confidence in Cyber Security,” said Mr. Techasuwanna.
